Off night diapers

Ok . .. I guess after all those baby's and toddler's milestones, this should be the next one I can be proud of.

Anyway, about 2 weeks ago, I used up my last piece of dry pantz and daddy refuse to buy new ones. Before that, mummy & daddy had been trying to make me sleep w/o my diaper but I refuse. hahaha. Pee till the last piece so now I hv no more diaper left.

So far, i had 2 'accidents'. Once I woke up abt 5.30am wet, but last nite, I must be sooo tired I just slept on with my wet pants. Eeeks. Better try and stay dry throughout before mummy makes me sleep in the toilet!!!

Went to see dr chng on wed n her respond was '中了'!!!

Not toto, not 4D.. It's the HFMD:( dots dots appear on my palm n feet n butt. There's also a big ulcer on my tongue which dr chng said dats additional, not part of the HFM package:p anyway, I hv to be kept away fm school since tis is contagious.

It's 3rd day now.. My mouth is still painful.. I am hungry and I want to eat.. But my big ulcer is soo painful. But I still managed to eat mee sua n porridge for the past 2 days.. Mummy say I am oredi extremely brave since I can actually tolerate that much food. Ah ma made lingyang n barley drink for me.. All served cold. Lotsa n lotsa ribena too.

Sigh.. Next time, I better rmbr to watch my personal hygiene n washed my hand more.

12 hours of FUN FUN FUN

We just came back at 9.30 pm, after 12 hours of fun..

Left Hm at 9.30am this morn. 1st stop.. SSO bb prom. It was my 2nd time watching. Tho' t
our seating was not as gd as last yr, but tis yr I was able to relate better. Did lotsa clapping n hand swaying wif the conductor, uncle Peter:)

After the ochestra, we went to tabao duck rice at Maxwell n went to daddy's Ofc to eat. It was a hot day n we needed the aircon:p anyway, we din go bac juz for the aircon, daddy had a blood donation event so we went bac so daddy cud give some blood. Give blood, save lives!!

We stayed till abt 2.30pm n decided we shld proceed to our next show venue.. Bob the builder at JP. Took a short nap during the journey + some 30 min in the JP carpark, while my dear mummy go q up 1st:) it was a nice 25min show.. Alot of the kids were dancing wif Bob n Wendy, juz like me. After the show, we did some shopping in JP n left ard 5pm.

Last stop for the day was DTE.. Yes, 37km fm the west to east. This time, to see looney tunes. I m not very familiar wif them actually but I thot they were cute. So, we decided to stay on for the nite parade at 8pm. Meanwhile, we went for dnr and mini bowl.. My all time fav. Glad we stayed coz the nite parade was so much fun.. We followed the LT gang ard ehub n DTE.. They were dancing n I joined them. A huge crowd followed so it was like mass dance.. I stick close to my fav, Tweety!

We left abt 9pm.. All our leg breaking fm the entire day out.

In case u thot I was shagged out.. U r wrong. I came Hm, played wif my helicopter, cook noodles (playdoh), n now, I m playing wif daddy iPhone.. Keke..

It's almost 11pm.. I shld rest now.. Yawns... Nite nite.

Updates Updates

Wow ... it's been a long time since the last post. Er, not exactly DAT long, almost a mth, but it's long compared to the frequency of the older posts.

Well, where do I begin. I think the number 1 reason why the blog is not updated is, I had really grown up. It's almost like I had passed all my baby growth milestones .. roll, sit, walk, run, steps, first word, more words, making sentences, singing etc etc. I am now at a stage where my mobility, my long long sentences with big big words are all becoming part of my daily life. Tho' at times I still surprise my mummy and daddy with the things I said or do, but it's usually more amusing than amazing.

Secondly, mummy and daddy seems to either had ran out or grew sick of the kiddy place they can bring me. Most wkends, we are home, resting. I do enjoy the nua nua wkend actually. Perhap, my 'hectic' school life does tires me out . kaka.

Nonetheless, I must say that I do enjoy my big boy's activities. Playing more sofiscated games (Xbox, iphone), the freedom that I get when I am at the playground, even making my own decision on clothes and shoes when we go out. I can even choose my food when we dine out at the food court. ..

I love growing up .. and enjoying the process with my daddy, mummy and everybody who loves me :)

Halloween party @ nite safAri

We went to the nite safari for this year Halloween party.

Met Kiera Mei Mei n her papa mama at 7.30pm. It was oredi super crowded at the entrance. Since it's halloween, there r soooo many 'gaga' walking around n it's really freaking me n Kiera out!!! Anyway, since we r using staff pass for entry, we could skip the loong snake queue.. Hehe.. Muz thank Lao Yee when I see her next time.

Inside, there's another long queue at the tram. We decided to take the usual tram as the queue Is shorter plus we were kinda afraid the Halloween tram gets too spooky for us.. The tram ride was nice.. We got to see alot of animals.. Maybe it's halloween party so nobody sleeps early:) after the tram ride, we braved ourselves and walk thru the Giant forest trail. I eventually survived the walk, but it was wif a pounding heart!!! It's the most spooky n adventurous nite I ever had..

Wedding

I attended 2 weddings within a week.

Firstly, it was Uncle Joe and Auntie Cheryl's. We started with a church wedding at St Teresa Church, and than a nice wedding dinner at nite.

The 2nd one was Uncle Sean and Auntie Ivia's wedding. It was at Grand Shanghai restuarant. .. very nice and cozy, and great food. I love the chicken and abalone soup best and drank a whole bowl of it.

Zoo

We went to the zoo again ..

We went slightly later today.. At abt 11am and I was able to stay awake and had fun all the way to 4pm:) other than visiting my favorite animals such as the elephant n lion, some 'new' things we did. One, we went into the scarly trail at the reptile farm where we come up close wif some 'gaga'!! We also spent more time at the rainforest kidsworld. After swimming, we went thru the Dino trail n went for a horse carriage ride. We oso fed some goats..

Tho it was a hot day, but it was still fun. I love the Zoo!!

Phuket

We are travelling again.. This time round, to Phuket.

This trip is very much a 'nua' trip since we are going to a Beach resort. We had an afternoon flight and reached Phuket abt 2pm on Sat. Took an airport taxi to our hotel, but the driver took us to a wrong one. Luckily, our hotel is only a few steps away, and they sent us there in a golf cart :)

We had a 2 bed rm villa, which came with full kitchen facilities, big bath tub and lotsa running space. In fact, I tink it's bigger than our 5rm flat. Except for Sunday where we went to the Phuket town, we spent all our time relaxing in the rm, or the resort area. My fav spot is definitely the pool where there is a slide for me to 'yabayabadooo' !!

This is another FUNtastic holiday. Thank you Daddy and mummy !

Happy Children's Day

01 Oct is Children's Day so school is closed today. Met up with my friends at Ehub.

First stop - Kidz explorer. It's my first time there. There is a huge kids maze. Jo seems like a regular there and led JK and me to climb up the maze. After awhile, JK moves on to play on his own, while I tagged along wif Jo. There's a big group of kor kor and jie jie who came from a child care center I tink, and they were really 'WILD' .. running and screaming. We decided to move to a safer corner .. the ball pits area. We played awhile, and than decided to go lunch. I requested for my usual 'chicken de rice' :)

After lunch, we went bowling. It's first time for Jo and JK, so I wanted to show them how to bowl. End up, I got scolded by mummy for always cuttung q and not letting them bowl :(

Our last stop was the Calbury wheel. We took 1 carriage each, and waves at each other. It was nice, but mummy got giddy .. hehe.

Auntie Leo managed to book a free trial session for Isabelle, JK and me and we used it as a get-together session. The trial was only so-so (aka bo simi..), the teacher couldn't hold the kids down and the place was small to start with. We kids were more distracted by the play fixtures and din pay much attention to what the trainer was talking about.

This year's National day fall on a Sun .. which means, its a long weekend for my mummy and Daddy.

It's basically a 'nuah' wkends for 3 of us .. spending most of our time at home. We did met up with JK and family on Sat tho' .. at Changi Beach.

Its a nice and windy day .. tho abit hazy. Its a great day to juz sit back relax, and enjoy the breeze ..

Durian season is coming to an end .. so despite the hot weather and the heatiness, we decided to go and buy 4 durians fm Uncle MingCang today. Tho at $10 per kg but Mummy says its all worth it .. As for me .. the pix tells :p

30 July is Wong wong aka my Ah gong's 72 years old birthday.

We went for dinner at The Line buffet. Original price $68++ per pax .. but with the birthday promo, we end up paying $145 for 8 of us .. actually 7 coz I am eating for free.

The spread is good .. big fat oyster freshly cut open, salmon belly sliced on the spot, drunken prawn (my fav!!), satay, sirloin steak etc etc. The dessert selection is Jeron's kor kor's favourite. Choc fondue, all sorts of cakes and pastry, and super nice icecream - blue berry, mocha, green tea, mango sherbet.

Too bad we forgot the camera .. otherwise, we could share the 'food' here with you :p

Bangkok Day 4 (Last day)

This is quite a overdue post . why, becoz mummy has been lazy after we came back from BKK, and also the fact dat now with her iphone, she is logging on using the computer less :p

Ok, where did i stop the last time? Oh .. our late nite massage. Day 4 is the last day we are staying in BKK. We decided that since we are in a 90% buddhism country, we should visit some of the temples, pray for 'ping ping an an, jian jian kang kang, kai kai xin xin, shun shun li li' before we go hm. Our destinations for the day is Wat Pho (reclining buddha), the emerald biddha and the Grand palace.

I decided to post this pix to show u our not so messy hotel rm. Here's me drinking my milk after the massage :p

Ok, time for some 'bai bai'

From Wat Pho, we took a short 5mins Tu tu ride to the Emerald buddha. Oh mine, it stinks coz of the pollution. Luckily it was only 5 mins, otherwise, i tink we are going to get carbon monoxide poison.

No pix allowed in the emerald buddha temple. But here's me n daddy posing outside the temple. From my expression, you can tell the weather today was super hot !!

Our last stop was the Grand Palace. Mummy told me this is where the king lives last time. He had moved liao, so we are now allowed to visit the place.

Daddy not very happy these angmohs juz walked into our pix with the palace guards :p

After the morning tours, it was almost 2pm. We quickly took a taxi back to MBK center for lunch (daddy and mummy wanted another round of the beef kuay teow). We than did some last minute shopping. By the time we rch the hotel, it was like 3.30pm. Mummy requested for late check out and we were quoted 1000bht up till 5pm. Ok, we will take it. We quickly went up for shower, packing and a short rest. We chk out aat 5pm, and was told that the hotel decided to waive the late chk out charges coz it's mummy birthday. She even got a birthday card from the hotel .. hmm, nice service is't it. Small gesture like tis dat will earn a return customer .. why not :)

Anyway, we decided we did not want to set off to teh airport so soon, so we did a super market shopping at Siam Paragon Gourmet Market. Mummy's objective .. tomyum instant noodles and instant soup base. We got what we want, went back hotel to pick up our luggages, and finally left for the airport.

my FUNtastic Bangkok trip !!

2 years + 2 months

I am 26mths old today .. wow, dat is like 792 days !!

From a little baby, I had grown to be a little boy .. here's some update of me :-

my Speech
my speech is .. unstoppable. hehe. Tho' some of my pronouciation still needs to be improved, but i hv no problem holding little conversation with mummy and daddy. Which means, if mummy missed me when she is at work, she can always call me and we can chit chat a little .. abt my day in sch, what i had for lunch etc. And vice versa. If I missed my mummy/ daddy, i will request Yeye or Mama to "call mummy/ daddy'.

my Mobile
I can now jump and run, walk sideway, walk backwards, roll on bed etc etc. You name it, i can probably do it. In fact, i can run faster than my Yeye or Ah Gong :) I can climb stairs w/o any support and I dun even need to hold on to the rail. I can even swim with my swimming wings. I am not afraid of the water, and I loves to jump into the pool, submerged myself underwater and reappear to the water surface. The only setback is, with my mobility, I fall or knock on something all the time .. mostly bcoz I run ard instead of walk around. I hit the bed frame, I fell in the shower coz i ran in and close the shower screen before mummy gets in, i hit my forehead on the tables coz I did not realised I had also grown taller. Luckily, I am not a cry baby by nature, so all i need is usually a light 2 minutes cries and I will be as good as new :)

my World
my daily routine now is .. Sch @ 8.30am, where I play/ study/ eat/ sleep with my frens and teachers. I had learnt soo many songs in sch sometimes it amazed my mummy. I had also learnt to recite 1-20 (some x missing some numbers in between), and recite ABC. I cannot recognise them all tho' .. but I always can remember No. 5, and the letter B. Usually at abt 5pm, I will go to my yeye house, where I watch TV, eat my dinner, and wait for my mummy to pick me at abt 7pm. Than, it will be home, for more TV and than my 'pom pom, neh neh, oor oor' (shower, milk, sleep) 3 steps finale :)

I had been quite a lucky boy blessed with a wonderful family. So far, I had been to the Zoo and birdparks a few times, swim regularly, and almost every wkend, my mummy and Daddy will bring me outdoor to play. Travelling .. I had been to Malacca, Genting 3 times, Vietnam and bangkok. At home, I had toys that is almost filling up the guest room. On top of my kiddy toys, I am also playing with the PC, daddy's Wii, mummy's DS and now mummy's iphone.

Anyway, what I really want to say is .. I love growing up, and all the fun that comes with it. I love my daddy, and I love my mummy .. and everyone else. Have fun with me, and bear with my occasional tantrum .. afterall, I am in the 'terrible two' stage rite ..so it's actually ACCEPTABLE to be notty at times .. keke ;p

Bangkok trip - Day 3

Mummy sneak out for massage/ mani/ pedi last nite .. all for only 650bt ($20+). We all sleep abit more laz nite and woke up oni abt 9am today. Went breakfast at Macdonald.

It's a huge underwater world .. much bigger than ours at Sentosa. You can walk with the "penguin" ..

After my nap, we went shopping again at Platinum Mall, and went 'bai bai' before meeting Auntie Srinate for dinner at Koka Restuarant.

Daddy surprised mummy by secretly buying an Ice-cream cake from Baskin Robin after dinner :)

Time now is 1.20am. We went for a light drinking at the atrium lounge, and since I did not show sign of sleepness (tho' it's 11.30pm), daddy and mummy decided to go for massage again. They did a 90min foot reflexology + head/ shoulder massage, while I wait for them patiently. What a good boy I am :D

Our Bangkok trip - Day 2

Today, we joined a 1/2 day river/ canal tour. It was a promo from the Thai tourism board and they subsidies 80% of the tour price so we only pay 20% :) Tour starts 7.30am, so we woke up at 6.30am.

The tour ended at abt 12pm, and by the time we were dropped off at Central world, I had oredi zonked out. Mummy and Daddy took their lunch and did some shopping.

In the evening, we met Uncle Apichet for dinner and did some nite market sight seeing. For a meals consisting of grilled prawns, chilli sotong, sweet and sour fish, vege, and 2 claypot of sharksfin, we paid like 1300baht ($56). But shhh .. dun tell Ah Ma I am eating at a roadside stall in China Town :p

Today, we woke up at 5.15am to catch our 7.20am flight to Bangkok. Mummy offered to carry me and let me cont sleep, i was too excited to get back to sleep :) I did take a short nap on the 'bumpy' flight tho' ..

Rch our hotel too early, rm was not ready. So we walked to MBK Center to eat daddy's fav beef noodles for lunch.

Happy Fathers' Day

Juz like my bday, we had numerous celebrations for Fathers' day this year :)

The first one is a buffer dinner at Crown Plaza hotel. It's actually Yeye's bday cum fathers celebration. We ate lotsa good food.. oysters, mussels, scallop, etc etc Both me n mummy fav is the drunken prawn !!

On Saturday morning, i met up wif 2 of my frens for a secret mission . to make a special Fathers' day tee for our daddies. Since it's 'secret', so we cannot go to either of our home .. end up, we went to my Ah Ma hse :) It took us abt 2 hours to finish the tee, and after dat, it was lunch and play time. I am always happy to see my frens :) In the evening, mummy brought Daddy and Ah Gong a steamboat dinner. They had tom yam soup, and I had my chicken soup.. yummy yummy !!

Today is Father's day !! It was a hot day, so we decided to go for a swim. I luv swimming. Nowadays, i can bravely jump into the pool and submerged back up. I can also swim abt 2m to my mummy!!

** Btw, Gugu called to say he is extremely bz tis wkend, so we are going to only meet up with them for yet another 'celebration' next Sat .. Tim sum at Paramount !! yeah . ..

Blood donor carnival @ Jurong birdpark

Becoz my daddy had been a frequent blood donor, we were invited to a carnival at the Birdpark. The perks : 2 free tix and additional tix at $8, 2 lunch boxes (sandwiches, coleslaw, muffins), 2 caps, and some drinks). Not bad har .. but the bad part is, there were sooo many blood donor in SIN, so when we rch the birdpark at abt 9.30am, it was super packed wif people. We decided to park at JP and took a taxi there instead. Nonetheless, it was still a fun day:)

Saturday morning, met my 2 best friends, Jo and JK. We had a great time playing together, jumping together, and eating together. Afternoon, we attended Adam Kor kor 5th birthday party. It was a really fun party with a jumping castle, and a pirate magician. In the evening, we went to meet Daddy at Plaza SIN to support Auntie Abby who is taking part in a Belly Dancing competition.

Chalet

We went to a chalet at DTE on Sun (31 May) .. No special occasion, juz coz 'Chalet Hao' :p

Anyway, school holiday had started so Gugu family came to join us. The first thing after we checked in at 2pm is to cheong to Wild wild wet to beat the super hot weather !! It was crowded, but we still had lotsa fun. I joined the bigger kids ran up the stairs, and slide down on my own. But the more challenging ones, mummy accompanied me as she felt dat my balancing skill is still not good enuff. We played for more than 3 hours .. till our fingers are all crumpled than we finally left :p

After dinner, we went bowling. No lanes available, so we only tried the mini bowl. After dat, we went to the Arcade to play more games before going back to the chalet to rest at abt 10pm.

I am still celebrating my birthday .. hehe, tis time, we are going to the ZOO.

I was so excited I woke up at 7.30am .. dun need mummy to wake me up like my usual sch day :p We went to pick Gong gong and Ah ma, and went for breakfast at AMK before going to the zoo. It was nice seeing the animals again. This time round, I can name more of them.

It rained for abt 1 hr in between, and we took the chance to rest at Ah Meng Restuarant. We continue after the rain to the Rainforest Kidsworld. I had the most fun swimming and playing with the slides there. Finally after the swim which is abt 4pm, i cud not take it anymore, and fell asleep. It was a super fun day :)

10 May 2009 is Mothers' Day. It's a special day for all of us to show how much we love our mummies.

We organised a bbq party and at the same time, celebrated my #2 birthday. Mummy brought me a nice sesame street birthday cake and invited some of my friends (JK, Joanie, Jeremy and Isabelle) to the party. Haha, in the end, it looks like MY party :p

I am very happy to see my friends, and we had lotsa fun. I was a little careless and clumsy tho', and fell 2 times. Bruised my forehead, and had a bump on the back of my head. I muz really try and remember mummy's advise always 'walk walk, dun run !!'.

Nonetheless, it was a great nite with my WHOLE FAMILY and my friends wif me.

My first 'Air plane plane' holiday

30 Apr - Morning 5.30am, we woke up coz our flight to Ho Chi Minh was at 7.50am. Yeye came to send us to the airport. Yawns .. I am half asleep. but I was too excited to be sleeping. This is my first flight .. and since I am not yet 2 yrs old, I got an infant fare, but this also means I have no seat. Luckily the flight was not full, we had the 3 window basinet seats all by ourselves. Nice :) Upon reaching HCM, Daddy's fren Uncle Vinh came to meet us and brought us to an authentic Central Vietnamese lunch. It was mainly rice cake .. all sorts of rice cake. Than, we did some shopping, and went to a cafe to enjoy Vietnam Ice coffee; definitely better than Starbucks :p

01 May - Today, we went on a tour to Mekong river. Tho it's only abt 120km away, but due to the Traffic, it took 4 hours by bus. I slept thur' almost the entire bus ride .. hehe. When we arrived, we took the bum boat and cruise along the river. We also went to see how coconut candies are made, and rice crispies. Lunch was at a very nice restuarant along the Mekong river. Tho' it rained heavily for abt 15min, and we were trapped inside the boat, but it was still a fun trip seeing how the local live by the river .. soo diffferent fm how we are in Singapore.

02 May - Today, we visited the Cuchi tunnel. This is an underground tunnel that the Vietnamese dug during their war with the Americans. Using very primitives tools, they dug more than 200km long tunnel, where there are traps, air holes etc. We were allowed to try and go thru' a part of the tunnel which we did. Some areas were pitch dark, but I was not afraid. In fact, I was the only one who was able to WALK thru' it. Mummy and Daddy had to duck walk coz the tunnel was only abt my height. The bus ride back to HCM city was very bumpy and I can tell that Daddy was going to faint from motion sickness. Besides, the seats were only big enough for kids and both mamee and daddy have to squeeze into the seat. After a long 3 hours trip back, we had lunch at a nice little cafe. auntie Hrin's driver then picked us up and we had some much needed rest in the room.

03 May - We started the day at 7.00am but I was still asleep when daddy and mamee prepares to go to Mui Ne, a beach resort northwards of HCM city. The journey is gonna take 4-6 hours!! oh my buddha! We started the journey after having breakfast in the hotel. We stopped at one of the village to try to buy some DVDs to watch in the mini bus and Daddy chose his favorite Stephen Chow movies and some dumb american movies. The movie they watched was called "Americanizing Shelly", I think its a dumb show so I decided to sleep...:)

When we reach Mui Ne, we checked into a Ocean-side bungalow. Oh man! It's really super nice. We are practically 3 metres away from the waves of the big ocean. We can hear the waves from within the room. Once daddy and mamee settled down, we had lunch at the resort restaurant. guess wat!? There's a swimming pool with slides and I just couldn't wait anymore. While daddy, mamee and their friends were eating, all I had in my mind is how i can quickly start my swimming!? hahaha!! All i got then is a scolding and beating from my daddy because I keep screaming and disturbing them from having lunch. :P

Once we are ready to go swimming, we headed towards the beach as auntie Hrin and the rest wants to check out the sea sports. However, I think they freaked out when they see the big waves.kekeke..

4th May - Mummy woke up with a bad tummyache. Maybe it's the seafood dinner she had the nite b4. But we still went ahead to the sand dune, supposingly to see fantastic sun rise. Unfortunately, it was cloudly, so eventually, we did not catch the sun rise. But it's still an experience walking on the sand dune. We felt like Tang Shan Zang and his disciple in Xi Yu Ji :p

The journey back to HCM was another 5 hours. Upon reaching, my poor mummy vommited, and ran a fever. Daddy n me decided to let her rest in the hotel room (aka forsake her) while we go SHOPPING !! All in all, we bought 7 Daddy's tops, 2 daddy berms 1 bag and a pair of Ed hardy shoe. I had 1 beach short, 1 top and 2 pairs of shoes. We did not forget mummy, we bought her 1 top :)

For dinner, Uncle Spencer reckon we had too much Vietnamese food, so brought us to a very nice Al Fresco Western cum mexican restuarant at the Sheraton. My fav part abt the restaurant was that they placed large drawing papers on the dining table and a cup of crayons. So I was bz drawing while the rest enjoyed their dinner.

Mummy is still not well, so we went back to the hotel after dinner. Daddy joined his friends at the Jazz club and the Casino, but this time round, I stayed and pigged in with mummy.

05 May - We are going home today. Did some last minute shopping for coffee powders, and visited their local market, Ben Tahn Market. Our flight was 2.50pm and after a short 1 hour 45mins flight, we finally reached HOME.

Home sweet home .. Home is still the BEST !! Nite nite.

My Lunar Birthday

Today is my lunar birthday - 5th day of the 4th month. Happy birthday to ME !! Actually in Chinese calender, I am 3 years old le. .. That's how much I had grown. Mummy took leave to 'celebrate' it with me. er, actually, there isn't much plan also. It's just dat this morning, we had a school excursion to the Hydroponic farm and the butterfly lodge. We even tried planting this little plant (oops, I was not paying attention so dun even what plant it is) the hydroponic way. The best part was, I surprised my mummy by telling her all my classmates' name... + some bigger kor kor and Je Je too.

And since mummy is on leave, she brought me home fm school after my lunch in school. We went for a quick haircut at Compass point, and than head home. Ah Ma is at our hse now, preparing our mee sua dinner tonite.

Tomorrow, we are going for a holiday in Vietnam. This is my first flight .. I am sooo excited !!

On Saturday, papa, mamee and me went to the Marina Barrage. Papa brought along his super-pro camera which he borrowed from his boss. It cost more than 12,000 dollars for that camera. Daddy then took alot of pictures for me while I was enjoying myself with the water features. There were so many kids & babies running over all the place and I was part of the mayhem. All these while, Daddy only managed to get himself wet because he was trying to take close up "wet look" shots of me. I am like a shampoo advertisement actor.. like Rain!

Hmm, haven been updating on my developement milestones

Speech : Other than counting 1-10, i can now make mini sentences such as 'mummy sorri', 'yeye, bye bye, see you', 'mummy bao bao pls' etc etc. So, i can make small conversations and chit chat wif my mummy n daddy :)

Mobility : my jumps are getting better now. i can also put on my pants myself, tho sometimes i still get 2 legs into 1 side. hehe.

Toilet trained : I am not official trained yet, but i still enjoy sitting on my toddler toilet seat n brush my teeth. Only once i pee, but sitting. haha, not the rite way, but at least it's the first time i 'deposit' something into the toilet bowl . keke :p

Genting short trip

We are back from Genting. It was a short 1 day getaway. We set off abt 7am on Sat morn (supposed to be 6am but daddy and mummy overslept). Our 1st stop was at Yong Peng as mummy wanna eat the fishball noodle. She shared abit wif me .. it was yummy. We rch Genting abt 12pm. I rmbr the 2 big elephants statue they had at the hotel lobby :) After dat .. the FUN started. All day long, we ate, snacks, played all sorts of rides, eat again .. hehe. Even when mummy and daddy went for their Kitaro concert in the evening, I continue to play at the arcade with Ah Ma. We played till I am very tired and finally decided to go back to the room to shower and rest.

Next morning, after our Tim sum breakfast, I asked to go and play in the arcade again ... while my daddy and mummy and Ah Gong goes to the Casino for their 'last minute fight'. Result, mummy won RM300, ah Gong won RM150, but poor daddy lost abt RM700. Nvm daddy, gight back next time bah.

We checked out at 12pm, went for our lunch at Mushroom farm, and slowly travelled home. This time, we stopped over at Ayer Keroh and had A&W curly fries and rootbeer float.

It was a fun trip .. mummy says if I am a good boy, we will go again in April :)

Ear Pain pain !!

It's Fri day nite .. i slept at ard 11pm. But i am feeling very uncomfortable. My left ear is in pain. Mummy ask me to sleep and I tried. But every 1/2 an hr, the pain wud wake me up. This goes on for almost 5 hrs. I wud wake up and tell mummy 'ear pain pain' .. n finally abt 4am, mummy n daddy decided to bring me to KKH.

Doc says it's probably a continuous effect from my last week's flu .. n the virus radiate to my throat and ear, which are both reddish, but no infection yet. Prescribed some antibiotic and we went hm. Felt better after the medicine, and slept till 11am next day.

This weekend is a rest and relax weekend. Supposed to go to the Flyers, but due to overwhelming response, we did not go in the end. So, stayed home and nuah in bed. Attended a short and sweet birthday party tho' at Down Town East chalet. Napped for 4 hours on Sat .. haha. shiok shiok.

Sunday was another a nuah day. Went breakfast with Yeye and mama, and than we juz drove ard Buangkok area . .. searching for the last kampung in SIN. Saw it, but decided not to get down the car as weather is so hot. Mummy more nuah than me .. asked me n daddy go PP, while she sleeps at home. Even when we come hm, we stayed outside the bedroom playing while mummy cont her beauty sleep. Than when it's my nap time, she cont nap wif me. .. Mega piggy !!

Nothing interesting except I fell at the playground and got a blue black on my right cheek. Ouch ..

Singapore Kite day

14-15 Feb was Singapore Kite Day. Held at Punggol, so it was near our hse. Tho' we can view the kites fm our window, mummy still decided to bring me to the event, nearer to the gigantic kites. Moreover, JK will be there too.

Unfortunately, it was kinda hot even at 5.30pm, and it was not as windy as everyone wanted it to be. So some of the really big kite did not manage to fly up the sky.

Happy Anniversary to my Daddy and Mummy

Today is my daddy and mummy's wedding anniversary and its also Valentines Day. This is my 2nd year celebrating wif them .. ie being their lamp post. hehe.

I woke up early at 7am .. took our time to slowly get out of bed, wash up, neh neh etc etc. Left hm abt 10am for Sentosa. My first visit to the Underwater World. It was really an eye opener. I had neva seen soo many ocean creatures, and moreover so up close. I even touched some fishes. On our way out, we took some pix with a snake. I am a little afraid actually, but i still carry and touch the snake. Uncle praised me for being a brave boy. After the fishes, we roam abit at Sentosa, ate ice-cream b4 going to the Dolphin lagoon to meet the pink dolphin which I thot were duck initially :p

We left Sentosa abt 3pm, and went to Vivo for some shopping. Mummy finally ultilised the $50 mothercare voucher which I won in the bb crawling contest so long back. I hv 4 new milk bottles and a toddler bib.

Tonite's dinner for mummy and daddy was 'Daddy's special steak'. He bot Premium Angus tenderloin and ribeye and grill for mummy wif grill potatoe and asparagus wif bacon. Yummy yummy .. but due to my upset tummy, I din eat the dinner.

The 15th day of the Chinese new year .. Mummy says this is also like the Oriental Valentines day. So we decided to spend this day with all our love ones. ie. We are all having dinner at Gonggong house .. Gong gong, ah ma, yeye, mama, mummy, daddy, Gu gu, Gin gin, Jeron Kor kor and me :) Gu gu and dio dio came to join us after their dinner at Dio dio house too.

My day usually starts abt 7.20am .. I will wake up, drink my neh neh, poo, dan mummy will help me wash up and change to my sch uniform.

Usually after dressing me, i will play my own while mummy and daddy get ready, than we will go to school.

CNY Gathering

Today is CNY gathering day ..

Day 1

We woke up at abt 9am today. After my morn neh neh, and shower, mummy changed me into my CNY new clothes.

Our first stop is Yeye hse. I brot 2 oranges and say 'Gong xi gong xi" (my version is Xi xi) to yeye n mama. Next, we went to Gong gong hse. Gu gu, Gin gin and Jeron Gor gor also came. We played awhile and left for Lao Gu hse. Altho' Lao gu passed away le, we still wan to go and keep Lao Gin accompany. Our last stop was another Lao Gu hse. Lao Gin fried beehoon and rice, and lotsa other fried stuffs and that was my dinner. Mummy and Daddy busy playing cards, so I hv to do alot of belly dancing to exchange for foood .. hehe. I ate alot of choc, bak Kwa, CNY cookies, and drank alot of 'pop jiu' (aerated drinks) today.

We came home abt 9pm as Daddy's friends are coming over for more gambling. I tried to stay awake with them, but I was so tired and slept abt 11pm.

Day 2
Today is a very special day for mummy. She says every CNY Day 2, there will be a kind of CNY fish (white tummy fish) that she extremely loves. So, daddy and ah ma went to the mkt at 7am to buy the fish. This year, it cost $98 for abt 12 fishes.

I woke up at abt 8am today. Changed into my new clothes again and went to Gong gong hse coz mummy can't wait to eat her 'white tummy fish'. After lunch, we went to pick yeye and mama, and we went to God yeye hse. This is the 1st time I went to God yeye hse after he moved. Next stop, we initially wanted to go to Lao Gu hse, but ah ma called to say Lao Gu is at her hse, so we went back. Lao Gu cannot pronounce my name, she called me something dat sounded like 'Rolex' .. hehe. Amazingly, mummy ate another fish since she is there. I tried the fish ... not bad actually, but i cannot understand why mummy so crazy over it :p Anyway, the good news is, due to leap year, mummy is going to be able to eat her fish on Chu 2, next mth :)

Day 3
Daddy starting work today, but mummy is still on leave till Friday. So, it's a rest day for mummy and me. We juz laze at hm, watched videos, did painting and rest, rest, rest. Dinner was Jap food at Suki sushi.

团圆饭

Mummy says, everybody eats ‘团圆饭’on the eve of CNY. It's the best family get together time.

Anyway, due to timing, my Gong gong side usually eats on the eve of eve .. so this is my first 团圆饭 this year. It was a big gathering .. Gong gong, ah ma, mummy, daddy, Gu gu, ah gin, jeron gor gor, jeron ah ma, uncle nelson, auntie maggie, joie jie jie, sean gor gor, auntie wati, lao yee, lao dio, fat yee yee and me. Let me count .. (btw, i m learning to count recently, and i usually goes "dui, hor, nai") .. 17 of us !!Oh, + gobi is 18 :) Tho' we had a big grp, but ah ma had prepared food enuff to feed a village, so everybody had a great sumptous dinner. We even had YushenG.. '捞啊捞, HUAT AH !!' After dinner, the adult chat while I played wif my 2 Gor gors and Jie jie.

My 2nd 团圆饭 is at Ye ye hse. We met for lunch since Gu Gu and dio dio have another session of dinner at Dio dio papa hse. This time round, we have Yeye, mama, daddy, mummy, Gu Gu, dio dio, xiao Gu gu. her bf, Me and posh posh.. 10 of us :) Tho' we had steamboat again, but Mama's soup is super nice. So we ( aka the 3 little pigs) again ate alot of food. .. yummy yummy.

The 3rd 团圆饭 we had at our own hse. Daddy decided that we had too much steamboat, so he cooked hand made noodles. We invited both set of grandparents. It was simple and nice :) After dat, both me and mummy changed into our new Pjs and than it's bedtime on the new bedsheet .. hehe. Everything is new to welcome a 牛 year !!

I agree with my mummy ... 团圆饭 is really the best family occasion.

7th school days ..

Today marked an important milestone for my school days .. I am finally able to wave bye bye to mummy and daddy w/o crying. Somemore, after kissing and hugging my mummy and daddy, Teacher nancy asked me to stay at the school reception area so that she can do health check for another school mate .. and I did. Mummy is so proud of me !!

Maybe you know wat .. I am 20months old today .. dats why :)

School
This week is my 2nd week of school. Today when mummy and daddy send me to school, I wave bye bye to them at the entrance, but I still cannot control my sadness. But than, I am braver now and did not cry so hard like before. I am already not so afraid, but during the day, I will still cry on and off when I tink of my mummy and daddy. Teacher Elsa has been very nice to me, and whenever I cry, she will either play with me, or hug hug me.

Weekends
Last weekend, we did some spring cleaning at home and guess what, mummy n daddy finally decided to throw away their wedding cake. Yes, it's THEIR almost 5 yrs old wedding cake dated Feb 2004. Eeeeks. But than, it still looks nice, and in fact, it still smells like a fruit cake . hehe.

Managed to cut open after much hacking actually .. it's hard as rock :p

We did some shopping too. We bought a new big and deep sink to replace the 'cute' old sink. We also went to suntec to buy abalone. I picked a lucky draw ticket and won 1 bottle of red wine + 1 bottle of honey. Not too bad.

Mummy bought a pair of sunglass. Here's me in her sunglass .. dun I look like Pocoyo?

2nd and 3rd day of school

Day 2 in school. Mummy has important meetings so it was Daddy's turn to bring me to school. When I reach sch, I saw teacher Ishah and straight away ran into sch w/o saying bye bye to Daddy. I thought he will be behind me but he was not. So I paniced and started crying when i din see him. Anyway, teacher Ishah told me not to cry. Daddy re appeared at abt 10.30am, during the Outdoor time. Tho' I want to play, but I also wanna keep an eye on Daddy and make sure he dun 'disappear' again. But after outdoor, Daddy told me he needs to go work, so he left again. Much as I wanna hold back my tears, I still cry coz I missed my Daddy and mummy. Daddy eventually came and picked me at 5pm.

Day 3 in school. Today, we met Auntie Agnes and Joanie at Punggol MRT and we went to sch together. When we reached sch, Jo went in after saying bye bye to Auntie Agnes, but i stayed on to hug hug my mummy. I knw that I m a big boy and shld attend school like the other kids w/o my mummy or Daddy, but I still cried in the end. But after teacher Ishah carry me into class, I stopped crying and ate some of my breakfast and played with my classmates.

I napped at abt 1pm today, but abt 1 hr later, another sch mate cried and I woke up. I was abit scared and cried for my mummy again. But I stopped after teacher Ishah assured me that everything is fine and mummy will come and bring me home later. Mummy came abt 5pm and brot me to yeye hse. We had dnr there, and went home after that. Since my nap was short, I was so sleepy I went straight to bed after shower and nite milk. yawns ..

First day of school

Monday, 12 Jan 2009. Today is my first day of school.

Mummy took leave to accompany me since it's my first day. We took MRT to the sch and reached abt 8.30am. I had a little bit of oat as I had already had my milk in the morning. Joanie offered me abit of her bread too.

After breakfast, it's lesson time. We had music and dance today. Suddenly, I realised mummy is missing and started crying for her. Mummy appeared after awhile and sat with me thru' lesson. Than we had outdoor play. I like driving.

Time passed and it's time for shower and lunch. We took turn to bathe, and than sat down waiting. Lunch was porridge. I asked more more after eating mine. I had a banana too :) After lunch, we played awhile longer, than it's milk time and nap time. I was not used to it, so I cannot sleep. But i eventually slept abt 1pm, and woke up 2pm. Cried and cried again after I wakie .. Jo oso awake but she is quietly singing.

After tea break, where we had barley water and egg sandwich, it's story time and than outdoor again. Mummy disappeared again .. hmm ..

Mummy came back at 5pm to bring me home. We took MRT/ LRT to ah ma hse, where I had rice for dinner. Than we went home, and I slept at 9.15pm .. I was soo sleepy ..

Opera nite

This is my Lao Gu ..

Actually my impression of Lao Gu is a strict and fierce man. Mummy told me that when they were small, Lao Gu will scold them for being noisy and notty. Hence, nobody really dares to go too close to him.

When we heard that Lao Gu was sick abt a mth ago, we went to visit him a few times and we realised the nice and warmth side of Lao Gu. Tho' he is very sick, Lao Gu still insist to bravely walk ard with his own strength. Tho' he has his own health to take care of, Lao Gu will still ask abt everybody .. Lao Yee's gastric pain, Ah Ma's work, Ah Gong's constipation .. tho' he neva used to show it, he actually cares and knew abt the condition of everyone in the family. Even when he overheard Papa asking ah ma how to cook Lo Duck, he chipped in with his knowledge.

27 Dec .. Lao Gu's condition suddenly worsen. He was admitted to the hospital and the doc. says the cancer cell had spreaded all over. Towards the end, tho' he no longer has the strength to speak, he would still waves his hand to his visitors. He showed Lao Yee a 'thumbs up' sign. Finally on 28 Dec, 1239hrs, Lao Gu left us.

Good bye Lao Gu .. U r truly a brave warrior and hero. We will always remember you. . .. Rest In Peace ..

It's Xmas day so Mummy and Daddy are not working. We slept abit late and woke up at 9.30am. Nuah nuah abit and mummy suggested going to the airport .. so we went.

We went to T1 for lunch 1st .. mummy's favourite Ah Yong curry rice. After that, we took the skytrain to T3. Our airport is so nice and spacious. Just running ard it makes me happy.

There are alot of Mickey and friends figures all over T3 and we took some pix. Too bad it's not a show day, if not I can meet Mickey in person.

We also went to the Viewing gallery to see the plane .. wow, they are BIG !! Mummy says when I am abit older, she will bring me holiday in a plane .. :)

Xmas Eve

Today is Xmas eve ..

It is a wet morning .. was raining when I woke up. Daddy told me I can follow him to his office today, so I quickly got up and changed into my Gai gai clothes. After sending mummy to work, we head to Daddy's ofc. Coincidentally, Uncle Alex brot Malcolm and Auntie Limei brot Xiangyi to the ofc too, so I had some friends to play wif. Alot of aunties and uncles gave me chocolate .. yummy yummy !! At abt 11am, we left the ofc to pick mummy up b4 proceeding to Uncle Roland (Daddy's boss) hse for Xmas party. This is e 2nd time I am going to Uncle Roland's big hse. .. and now wif BB Daniel, uncle Roland's hse has alot of new toys .. 3-4 Little Tikes ride on, slides, ball pool etc etc. Unfortunately it was raining so we could not swim in his pool. But i learnt a new ball game today .. e adult pool game. Mummy held my hand, we held a cue together and shoot the ball into the pocket. It was fun !!

Oh .. and I got a xmas gift fm Uncle roland .. it's $250 Toys r us voucher. Yeah .. I can ask mummy and daddy to buy me lotsa toys now.

I did not nap much today .. oni abt 20mins nap in e car while we were on e way to pick mummy. Yawns .. my eyelid felt so heavy now .. tink my eyes are closing soon.

I am going to school coming Jan'09 .. Mummy bot 2 sets of sch uniform for me + 2 sets of PE attire. Here's me trying out my uniform to make sure they fit. Hmm .. e top seems too tight but the short is too long hor .. And, my mummy had also bot me a matching sweater (Blue and yellow) from the warehouse sales. Thanks mummy !!

It's only 1 more week to Xmas .. All the malls are attracting customers to shop, so alot of them has Xmas shows. We went for a few of them ...

Sesame street @ Marina sq
We were late for the 7pm show. Lucikly it's not extremely crowded and mummy even managed to squeeze us thru' to a good position .. Just outside e fencing. I can still wave to Elmo and cookie monster.

Barney @ Plaza SIN
We went on a Fri evening again. Anticipating the crowd, we decided to try and rch earlier. We reached abt 6.50pm and oh my . . it was super crowded. As there is a bodyshop atrium sales, the security uncle does not allow us to hang ard e fence (like wat we did the last time). Luckily, mummy spotted Auntie Justina and dillion inside the fence and after abit of 'negotiaton', security uncle finally let us in. Yeah !!

Mr men show @ Compass point
This is mummy's fav. We went early for the 1pm show and managed to get a seat inside the fence. We met Mr Funny, Mr Bump, Mr Rude, Miss Sunshine, and Miss notty and even danced with them. It was a nice show.

This was a coincident show. .. we went to HG mall after our lunch as mummy wanna buy some running shorts. So happened to see the show.. but it's so - so niah.

Haircut

Tho' I am quite a lil' botak since young, but my hair IS growing longer and always tickling my ear. Past few times, Gu Gu has been shaving me bald, but now since it's nearer to Xmas and CNY, mummy decided to keep my hair longer so I look more handsome. Well, for the sake of being a handsome boy, I was kinda cooperative during the haircut. Even the barber uncle praised me.

Zoophonic Holiday Program

Mummy sent me for Zoophonic Holiday program. It's a 1 week program from 01-05 Dec, 1.5hrs each day. We had 1 Eric Carles story as the theme each day. During the class, we sing, story telling, did art and craft. My fav is the singing part.

Day 1 : Pancake, Pancake

Every lesson starts with some warm up singing. It's Day 1, so most kids are not attentive and doing their own stuff. The art n craft today was to paste the wood, fire, pans n pancake on e paper. Mummy too bz 'catching' me, she was not pay attention to the teacher too. End up, our pan cake was pasted on the pan, instead of 'tossed' in the air :p

Day 2 : My secret birthday message

Lesson 2. Already seeing some familiarity. At least when Teacher Noreen brings out e 'hello Tambourines', all the kids get ready their maracas. Tho' I am supposed to hit it once, I normally hit 2 or 3 times. hehe.

Day 3 : Papa, pls get the moon for me

Most kids are now familar with the songs, especially. Most will volunteerly get the 'Sun' from teacher Noreen for the 'Oh Mr Sun" song, and exchange it for the 'steering wheel' for the 'driving
song. Almost all can 'stop' when the song says 'stop' .. even playful me :p And of coz, our fav is the Bubble times at the end of the class.

Day 4 : Panda bear, panda bear .. what do u see?

Today was raining heavily, so Daddy was with me 1st half of e lesson. But he gots giddy with all the turning around, so mummy took over after the snack break.

Day 5 : The grouchy Ladybug

This is my fav story. The moment teacher Noreen brings out the ladybug, i said 'Bug bug' !! Today is the last lesson .. so we took some class foto for remembrance. We were also given a folder, where we can keep our master art piece.

As we are rushing for Sesame street show after class, we din chat much, and quickly wave bye bye to JK, auntie Leo and Uncle Soon and off we go. Overall, I tink i do enjoy my class.

Pre Xmas party

Had a little Xmas gathering at our hse today .. wif Joanie and JK + their mummies and JK's daddy joined us abt dinner time too.

We had some fun playing wif e balls and some party stuffs that Auntie agnes brot, took some nice pix and had pizza dinner. Oh well, actually mummies and daddies had pizza, we only get small bites :p But my daddy cooked us porridge and each if us had a bowl of Daddy's 'love' porridge before we went down to the playground to play.

Now that we are older, we can climb up e stairs and down e slide w/o mummy holding us. It's so . oo much fun this way.

Busy busy long weekends

This week is a long weekend as Mon (08 dec) is Hari Raya, so mummy and daddy dun hv to go to work. For me, it's a fun-filled packed 3 days .. or rather 4 days (since Fri)..

Friday : Zoophonic last class. Took some nice class pix with my classmates and teacher Noreen b4 saying bye bye to them. Gotta rush off as mummy n daddy is bringing me to Marina sq for the sesame street show. We were late and show oredi started. .. but my mummy still managed to squeeze herself n me into a fantastic spot . .. right in e middle, juz outside the fence. I waved at Elmo and he waves back .. so exciting :)

Saturday : SSO baby prom. This once a yr show seems very popular. Luckily mummy for Auntie Meihua to buy the tixs for us. It was a nice show .. the conductor, Mr Peter Moore allows us kids to roam ard the place. The last part of the show, we were even allowed on stage to be close to the SSO performers.

At night, we went to visit Lao Gu who is sick. I can see dat Ah Ma is very sad .. I really hope he will get well soon ..

Sunday : Mummy bring me and ah ma and lao yee to Vivo city. There's a very tall xmas tree there. But i din noticed the warning on e light bulb and scald my finger .. so painful. The color turns white .. I tink it's semi cooked. But when mummy brot me to play at the waterplay area, I forgot abt my pain and had fun there. kakaka ..

Monday : We had a May babies gathering at Sol playground. After that, we went Compass point to shop for birthday present for Uncle Chuan. In the evening, we went to his place for a pot luck birthday party.

Yesterday, we had a mini gathering with some of the May babies .. mini coz there's only 5 babies .. Auntie Karen and Kaelyn, Auntie Janice and Javen, Auntie Fion and Jonas, and Auntie Janet and .... oh oh, i forgot her name :p

And we also met Auntie Maureen and Jeremy.

We met at Sol playgound @ Turf City in the morning. As it was raining, mummy asked me stayed in the indoor play area and play. It was quite crowded but we still share share our toys and play together. We played and ate our lunch, till abt 12+ than we left for home .. i was sooo sleepy and straight away slept in the car on e way back.

It was nice meeting some new friends, and nice to meet up wif the 'old' friends too :)

Xmas light up

Xmas is coming .. !! Mummy loves Xmas, and I knw why. It's year end, lotsa holidays, and everywhere is light up in pretty xmas deco.

Daddy had put up our Xmas tree last Sunday n and I took some pix with our own lil' Xmas corner.

And he brot me and ah ma to see the xmas light up in Orchard road. Tho' mummy says its not as nice as the past, but I still like the lighted street.
